Keep Your Commitment

THIS PROJECT WAS A COMMITMENT

Okay, well I guess I could set off by saying this very project would fall under the line of commitment because I had everything and lost it all in my phone and could not recover it. I was pretty mad, but refusing to give up because it was a promise that I made and I will stick to it even if it takes all night or should I say morning.

WHAT IS COMMITMENT

What is a commitment? It is a promise to be loyal. If I say it, I stand by it. It matters not if it is a verbal or written commitment! The point is, if you said it, do it! If you're not going to do it, don't say it! I made a commitment to serve my Lord and Savior and I plan to the stand by that commitment till the day I die! That means forsaking all others. People, this commitment I made early with my Lord and Savior is serious business to me and I'd rather die than to break it. The older I get, the more serious it gets! Proverbs 3:5-6 states "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path."

PROCRASTINATION IS AN ENEMY

One thing I learned is that procrastination will get the best of you! If I had written this earlier, I would have had a chance to recover from my mistake and not having it all finished in time. However because of the commitment that I made and my desire to be faithful to my Lord and Savior and to be honest to myself and my fellowman I started all over again. I’m going to get this accomplished and it is a common topic to share. It is something I believe us all to be guilty of at one time or another. I am determined by the grace of God to do what I said I would do and I only asked almighty God to help me to finish this in time to meet my deadline.

FINISHING ON TIME

I thought my last comment on committing would be about my relationship between me and my Lord which is always the foundation, but I find now that my commitment is on finishing this paper in time for it to be with my daughter in law by the time she wakes up in the morning - if indeed she is asleep! Be faithful, be loyal, Stand by Your Word, do what you said you were going to do and let it begin with your Lord and Savior! Trust Him, believe Him! Never give up! We're in a world where so much is going on so many reasons to just walk away and leave it all. We need more faithful people to stand by their word and I express that again, stand by their word. If we can't be faithful to ourselves, who can we be faithful to.

FROM MY HEART TO YOUR HEART

So I recommend to you that you think today a little bit more about the word commitment and consider yourself and what you decided to stand for and hold on to. That's a commitment. Being loyal, staying at it not giving up regardless of what the situation may be. From my heart to your heart. I trust that when you read it you will you will feel and know that this is from one individual to another who goes through similar things but we don't give up! I have no reason to give up, my trust is in the Lord!
